So this past weekend was my sister birthday dinner, and she was willing to ask me to cook for her and 12 other friends. I was so excited but couldn’t even start to imagine the stress of one cook and 12 plates. So I asked Maddie to help me come up with ideas and cook. Saturday morning I went to the market for fresh veggies for the dinner and came back with artichokes, asparagus, apples, and Brussels sprout stocks. Our feast consisted of pumpkin sage fettacini (amazing!!), roasted Brussels sprouts with apple, dried cranberry, and candied walnuts. Also an asparagus brie tart, and a squash blossom flatbread infused with truffle oil. Maddie made the ultimate apple pie for dessert!
