Theres nothing like submersing your self in homegrown veggies and animal love. This afternoon I spent the day planting and frolicking around the garden clicking away at my camera. Our chickens ran loose and we discovered many hungry caterpillars!

So this past weekend was my sister birthday dinner, and she was willing to ask me to cook for her and 12 other friends. I was so excited but couldn’t even start to imagine the stress of one cook and 12 plates. So I asked Maddie to help me come up with ideas and cook. Saturday morning I went to the market for fresh veggies for the dinner and came back with artichokes, asparagus, apples, and Brussels sprout stocks. Our feast consisted of pumpkin sage fettacini (amazing!!), roasted Brussels sprouts with apple, dried cranberry, and candied walnuts. Also an asparagus brie tart, and a squash blossom flatbread infused with truffle oil. Maddie made the ultimate apple pie for dessert!
Enjoy! Totally recommend cooking as a pair, so fun and very time efficient! 🙂

They call him the Pistachio man!
Every Tuesdays and Saturdays in my town there is a Farmers market, a place where people sell their organic produce. I attempt to make an appearance down there once in a while, and when I do I always go anticipating the delicious fruits and veggies! My common purchases there would be the delicious Fuji apples, mixed kale, spinach, beats, asparagus, berries and pistachios!
I have been hooked on juicing! Not just any kind of juice, but vegetable juices. Consisting of kale, spinach, beats, pineapple, celery, carrots, ginger, and apples. Let me tell you right now it will change your life! May look funny and smell weird but tastes delicious and is very good for you! Juicing will help your mind and your diet 🙂
Go down to your local Farmers Market and get some yummy fruits and veggies to start juicing!
